Colors of the Desert
The grasses grew after the rains. The plants grew. The trees grew.
Suddenly there was color.
The sandy desert was ablaze with color.
There were red flowers, lanterns hanging their heads
There were yellow flowers hiding thorns and sharpness underfoot.
There were white flowers full of wild bees seeking honey.
There were purple flowers flutes on the vine.
There were orange flowers smug in their brightness.
The flowers formed colors, and the grasses and the leaves joined in
The orchestra went wild with dischords and solos
